Hello. I'm a new member here, and I thought I'd introduce myself. SentinelBlade77 at your service, though feel free to shorten it if you want. I'll answer to Blade, Sentinel, Jeff, whatever works for you.
I only speak English, hopefully that wont be too much of a problem, but if it is, I'll try my best to work around it. I'm sure I can find an online language translator that doesn't butcher our languages too horribly if it comes to that.
Though it probably goes without saying, I am a huge fan of the Predator movies, and an even bigger fan of the idea behind them, though as with all things one is truly passionate about, there is always much more for me to learn on the subject. I also consider myself fairly well-versed in the Aliens universe and the movies that portrey it. Alien versus Predator, though a bit more commercialized than I'd prefer, also has a great deal of my interest.
I am, in fact, the Administrator of another website of similar interests to this one. However, instead of an information-based website, it is more of an ongoing roleplay game, in play-by posting style. It will be told from the perspective of marines, USCM, as was the squad of soldiers in the second Aliens movie. However, as I am deeply fond of the Predator theme and feel, it will involve fewer laboratories and space stations, and more wilderness: forests, fields, and jungles. If I had to pick several of the movies to give you a sense of the feel I am going to attempt to portray in the story, I would offer you Aliens II, Predator I, and AvP Requiem. The xenomorphs will factor considerably into the storyline, as will the yautja, but it will have more of an attempt at realism as opposed to a complete fantasy, meaning that we're not going to see a new monster every time we open our eyes. There's plenty going on out there aside from the Hunters to keep a group of soldiers busy. Wild animals, space pirates, smugglers, etc.. Should be a good time.
So, if you're interested in giving that a try, let me know. However, I've decided that I'll post the link only if an Administrator judges it appropriate, as I do not wish to appear as if I am trying to "steal members" from this site.
Also, if it is judged appropriate, I would like to make reference to this site in mine, citing it as a valid source of information on the Hunters.
Well, thanks for your time, and hopefully I haven't posted this in completely the wrong section of the forum or something.
